Noah had his check-up & immunizations today. Here are his 12 month stats:
Weight: 22 lbs. 12 oz. (50th percentile)
Length: 30.75 inches (80th percentile)
Head circumference: 18.88 inches (89th percentile)
So he's tall and lean! He's definitely thinned out since he started moving - he goes & goes & doesn't stop!
And since I forgot to post them before, here are his 9 month stats:
Weight: 21 lbs 4 ounces (60th percentile)
Length: 29 inches (72nd percentile)
Head circumference: 18.5 inches (89th percentile)

He Speaks!
And Noah's first word was... "Da da da!"
Dave called me at work this afternoon to tell me that he picked up Noah, and Noah looked right at him and said, "Da da da," and then proceeded to tell him a bunch of other stuff in Noahspeak (ba ba ba la la...) We're calling this the official 'first', though Dave is certain he called him 'da da da' last night, too...
How cool is that?!

CONGRATULATIONS, DAVE!
It's official: Dave is a Licensed Professional Counselor!
He received his letter & license in the mail this week. He was actually out of town & his Mom was here visiting to help with Noah. Susan & I were pretty certain that the big manila envelope meant good news, so we surprised Dave with a "Congratulations!" dinner upon his return.
Dave is so excited & I am SO proud of him - this is the culmination of many hours and years of hard work in school, practicum & internship. Way to go, my Love!

My Week With Grandma
I Love My Present!
(July 7) Noah was very excited about receiving his 1st basketball hoop from his Auntie Alison & Uncle Austin (they gave him his birthday present early since they were visiting from CA).
You may be noticing a bit of a basketball theme in many of their gifts - Austin is a basketball coach for the Vanguard University men's team.

Watch Out, Sam!
(June 14) Noah loves cats. LOVES them. He usually just ends up chasing them around - they always move when he gets close - but not this time. His Aunt Jessica's cat Sam actually stayed on the floor & let Noah maul him. Noah was all up in his business: he grabbed handfuls of fur, kissed Sam, and eventually laid on top of him. It was amazing! Sam ended up fleeing the scene, and Noah was left with a heavy coat of white fur. It was a sight to behold!

Stand Up, Stand Up
It's Not Easy Bein' Green! (aka Little Nakeds, Part II)
Can I fit through here?
I am too cute!
Stay Off of the Grass!
(May 19) Noah loves being outside, but he's not a huge fan of grass. In fact, to get this picture Dave had to plop him down in the middle of it - and he immediately lifted his left leg to keep it off of the prickly stuff.
He does it every time: body hits grass, left leg goes up. This kid must have serious ab muscles!

Mother's Day!
(May 11) My husband is really cool!
For my first Mother's Day, Dave & Noah gave me an amazing gift: a handmade storybook (complete with a chocolate handprint from Noah) with pictures & information about an adventure...to see James Taylor in concert in Salt Lake City!
We have third row tickets for the concert in August, and I am SO excited - I've wanted to see JT for a long, long time! Thank you, Madas!

Duke? Kansas?
Where to start?
Seriously, this is going to be next to impossible, to tell you about all of the amazing things that Noah is and has done in the last 2 months. And the pictures - I think there are almost 300 that I need to wade through! So bear with me while I share at least a few highlights...
(I'll list the picture dates at the beginning of each post.)

Yikes!
So I haven't posted in almost two months. Horrible! (But such is the life of a mom who spends most of her days away from work chasing an 11-month-old.)
I have way too many pictures to share, so I'll get a few new ones up here soon. Many apologies to all of you who have checked here time and again, only to find old pics of Noah in clothes that don't even fit him anymore...
Check back again soon. He's cuter than ever now!
