Kickin' Coffee Table
Noah loves to "air time," when his diaper is off and he's free to kick and swing his arms around. He goes like crazy! So we've outfitted our coffee table with some huge, comfy towels & some well-placed washcloths. You've got to keep a sharp eye on him, though - those washcloths get moved pretty quickly!
McCall
Last weekend, we went on a little retreat to the mountains. Thanks to some family friends (you know who you are, and we are forever grateful!), we got to stay in a beautiful condo near Payette Lake. Though it took us almost 5 hours to get to McCall because of a wreck on Hwy 55, it was well worth the trip. We relaxed in front of the fire, ate great food at the Pancake House, My Father's Place, and Lardo's, and took a beautiful drive around the lake via Warren Wagon Rd and an old dirt road. We also drove 22 miles (oops, we thought it would only be 8) up the mountain to a trailhead so we could hike 2 miles back to Upper Hazard, a beautiful mountain lake. Noah was such a trooper - he didn't even mind getting his diaper changed in the van at an overlook, or nursing on a rock at Upper Hazard Lake. Talk about breastfeeding out in the open! :-)
The weather was absolutely gorgeous: crisp, sunny fall days and cool evenings. And the scenery couldn't have been more beautiful. It was a much-needed weekend of rest for our souls!
11 Weeks Old & 14 Lbs.
Noah weighed in at 14 lbs. 1 oz. on 10/10 (yes, he is well fed!) And to celebrate being 11 weeks old, he rolled over on 10/11. Granted, he was on his stomach & pushed off with his arms to roll to his back, but we'll count it. Way to go, Noah!
I was at work when it happened & was pretty bummed that I missed it. But oh, I got a wonderful gift that day: Dave brought Noah to visit and was standing around talking to a bunch of my coworkers, and when I approached Noah's face lit up. He stared at me & smiled like crazy for 5 minutes! I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful that felt.

Smile! I'm 10 Weeks Old!
Ah, There's Nothing Like Sleep...
In the days before I returned to work, Noah decided to give us a little treat: he went 7 hours between feedings two nights in a row. Oh, how glorious it was! Of course, as soon as we told people it had happened, he went 2.5 hours between feedings the next night. Oh well! At least we got a glimpse into the sweet land of sleep possibilities...

Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
It's off to work I go! (Or have been going...)
So I haven't been blogging much lately, but I have a good excuse: I started back to work part-time on October 4. (I will be working PT this whole month while I figure out what my schedule will be going forward.) And while it's nice to be back hanging with all of my NHS cronies, it's been a bit of an adjustment. Since I have less home time with Noah, blogging has definitely taken a back seat!
I'll do my best to post some updates/pictures soon.
